PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

White amorphous crystals or granules and powder, with a sweet taste. Soluble in water, insoluble in alcohol. Gradually heated to melt, lose water at 250℃, decompose when heated. Stable in air, weathering when relative humidity is about 20%. Specific gravity is 1.69. It is easy to absorb lumps when stored in the air for a long time, and the dehydration temperature is 86.5℃. It is soluble in water, acid and alkali, insoluble in alcohol, and the aqueous solution is acidic, with a sour and astringent taste. It begins to decompose when heated to 530℃ and ends at 860℃. The final decomposition product is r-Al2O3, and high-purity aluminum sulfate. During the hydrolysis process, the intermediate product basic salt is first generated, and then aluminum hydroxide is generated.

PRODUCT USE

In the papermaking industry, it is used as a precipitant for rosin glue, wax emulsion and other sizing materials, as a flocculant in water treatment, and can also be used as an internal retention agent for foam fire extinguishers, a raw material for making alum and aluminum white, a petroleum decolorizer, a deodorant, and a raw material for certain drugs. It can also be used to make artificial gems and high-grade ammonium alum. Products with arsenic content not exceeding 5 mg/kg can be used as water treatment flocculants.

1. Used as paper sizing agent in papermaking industry to enhance the water resistance and anti-seepage performance of paper;

2. After dissolving in water, it can make fine particles and natural colloid particles in water condense into large flocs, thereby removing them from water, so it is used as a coagulant for water supply and wastewater;

3. Used as turbid water purifier, also used as precipitant, color fixative, filler, etc. In cosmetics, it is used as antiperspirant cosmetic raw material (astringent);

4. In the fire protection industry, it is combined with baking soda and foaming agent to form foam fire extinguishing agent;

5. Analytical reagent, mordant, tanning agent, oil decolorizer, wood preservative;

6. Albumin pasteurization stabilizer (including liquid or frozen whole eggs, egg whites or egg yolks);

7. It can be used as a raw material for the manufacture of artificial gemstones and high-grade ammonium alum, other aluminates;

8. In the fuel industry, it is used as a precipitant in the production of chrome yellow and lake dyes, and also acts as a color fixative and filler.
